The Board of Directors of AmCham Slovakia would like to inform AmCham members of the results of the elections carried out by the AmCham Board for positions on the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee – which consists of the President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Third Vice President and Vice President of Finance – is responsible for supervising operational issues in accordance with duties as enumerated in the AmCham statutes.

According to the AmCham statutes and internal regulations of the AmCham Board of Directors, nominations and elections for positions on the Executive Committee of the Board (carried out by members of the Board) take place over a four week period following the results of the elections to the Board which are announced at the annual General Assembly (this year May 12). The nomination and election periods ran from May 17 to June 11.

This year, because of recent departures of some Executive Committee members from the Board, the Executive Committee has undergone fairly significant changes.

As the voting period for the elections to the Executive Committee ended at 17.00 on Friday, June 11, the results of the elections can now be declared as official. The results are as follows:

· President: Michael Smyth, Dell
· First Vice President: George Babcoke, U. S. Steel Košice
· Second Vice President: Peter Škodný, Accenture
· Third Vice President: Marcel Rebroš, Cisco Slovakia
· Vice President of Finance: Mark Eberst, KPMG

The new Executive Committee and the entire Board looks forward to further enhancing the efforts of the AmCham Slovakia for the long- and short-term future.

As you know, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic concluded the 2010 elections of the AmCham Board of Directors. The results of the elections were officially announced to the membership at the AmCham General Assembly 2010. For those who were not able to attend that event, following are the official results of the elections of the Board of Directors 2010:

The following nominees were elected to the Board of Directors for two-year terms:
