We would like to invite you to a seminar Come to the seminar “Circular Economy and Innovations in Development” and be inspired by examples of Slovak and foreign companies which have been finding resources for their products and services in untraditional places. The seminar, held at Austria Trend Hotel in Bratislava on Thursday, 29 October 2015, is organized by Business Leaders Forum, an association of companies associated with Pontis Foundation, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Slovak Republic.

The keynote address is going to be given by the Dutch strategist Diana den Held from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, who has had eighteen years of experience in putting Cradle to Cradle principles into practice. She is also going to lead a workshop where you will learn how to apply the principles of circulatory economy to your activities. Slovak companies are also recycling and looking for alternative resources The company PR Krajné produces sound and thermo-insulation from textile fittings from old vehicles, and Vetropack as the only company in Slovakia offers products made of recycled glass. U. S. Steel Košice recycles steel as a material whose lifespan is not limited. Kaufland is trying to make the best use of waste heat from cooling equipment in new supermarkets and is using it to heat them and to run air-handling and air-conditioning systems installed in them. The car maker Peugeot takes into consideration the entire life cycle of cars.
