AmCham in the media - June 2014

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.
  • State Aid: On June 7, RTVS reported on the new developments with state aid, stemming from the unitary rules issued by the European Commission. Lenka Bartonova of PwC made several remarks on behalf of AmCham’s FDI Committee. You can watch the report here
  • Mentor Network Program: The founder of AmCham’s Mentor Network Program, Martin Kardos of CSI Leasing, presented this successful project in a web magazine: teraz.sk. You can read the article from June 11, 2014, here
  • Shared Service Centers in Slovakia: The successful event from June 12, 2014, organized by PwC and ACCA, and supported by AmCham, covered the creation of a Business (Shared) Service Center Forum at AmCham. The event was also covered by various media channels including SITA, Trend and online platforms such as investujeme.sk 
  • Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP): EurActiv.sk reported from the business breakfast organized by AmCham and the Business Alliance of Slovakia on June 17, 2014, covering the impact of TTIP on the Slovak economy. You can read the article here.  
  • AmCham-EU Conference and Rule of Law Initiative: The conference “10 Years in the EU: Opportunities for Business Competitiveness & Growth” which was attended by the Prime Minister was widely covered by the media including RTVS, JOJ, TA3, SME, Pravda and various online platforms such as 24hod.sk, itnews.sk and euractiv.sk. As part of the coverage, the media also reported on the Rule of Law initiative. The press release introducing the initiative was sent to all major media on June 19, 2014, and it was also covered by various print media, including Trend.  
  • Rule of Law Initiative: Analyzing legislative impact: As part of the Rule of Law initiative, AmCham together with partner organizations and the Representation of the European Commission organized a business breakfast “Regulatory Impact Assessment: From Vision to Action”.
